Frederick Ladue
Frederick Ladue was born on January 16, 1984, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. After spending the first nine years of his life there, he moved to Florida in 1993, where he was raised in a loving and supportive family that enjoyed doing everything together. Frederick grew up with a passion for baseball, dreaming of playing professionally. However, he struggled academically, dedicating most of his time to the sport.
As high school came to an end, Frederick found himself struggling to stay on the right path, eventually leading to multiple incarcerations. It was during these challenging times that he realized he wanted a different life. On August 1, 2022, he walked into Red Barn Academy feeling scared and broken, seeking a fresh start.
From the beginning, Frederick committed to the program. He applied himself to everything asked of him, and seven months in he began to experience a true transformation. He emerged as a leader in the house and took on the role of crew lead for the academy’s 5-star moving company, Red Barn Movers. Red Barn helped Frederick discover a newfound passion for life, instilling in him a drive he had never known before.
Throughout his journey, he grappled with the decision of whether to stay in the program for a third year. This inner turmoil pushed him to confront his fears and doubts. Ultimately, Frederick chose to continue his journey of whole-person change, and committed an additional year of his life toward becoming the man he knows he can be.
Now, in his third year, Frederick works as a moving clerk for Red Barn Movers, laying the groundwork for his dream of starting his own moving company. He is committed to helping others stay connected and close. Frederick is deeply grateful to Red Barn Academy for giving him the opportunity to become the man he was destined to be. Thanks to Red Barn, he is building a solid foundation for a free and happy life.
