Sean McGaha

Sean, one of our third-year students, is this month’s ‘Transformation Tuesday’ student highlight. Sean is using his additional time at Red Barn Academy to strengthen relationships in his life and to pursue a career in diesel mechanics. He is currently enrolled in diesel mechanics at Davis Technical College. Today, Sean is able to use his experience to help mentor the younger students. He is a shining example that if you stay the course you will get your life back.

“It means that I have the opportunity to build a better future for me and my daughter. To be able to thrive in life rather than just survive. By furthering my education in this structured environment it allows me to focus on school and fully apply myself without life’s usual distractions. It also allows me to help motivate the younger brothers in the academy, to not only stay the course but to help them realize that it is never too late to pursue your dreams.”

A vital part of my recovery

“I have been attending activities and many other groups at Red Barn Farms for almost 2 years. This has been a vital part of my recovery and the amazing life I now enjoy. Amazing staff that are always willing to help in any way possible. Thanks for being a part of my recovery.”

Truly does save lives and families

“Red Barn Farms and Red Barn Academy is a great example of a therapeutic community that truly does save lives and families. I have several family members who struggle with substance abuse issues, and lost my sister to a drug overdose last year. This is the first program I have seen that offers the right support people need to recover. As a community, we need to bind together to support their efforts so that they can expand and serve more men and women who deserve the opportunity to be their best self and for their families to be whole.”
